Shaping futures with Assistive Technology / AI in Education & Careers

“Assistive Tech + AI + human in the loop = amazing opportunities for all learners”
I believe that every learner should feel seen, supported and able to thrive. My work focuses on helping educators / careers practitioners and organisations use Assistive Technology and AI in practical and human-centred ways that improve learning, confidence and long-term outcomes.
I have worked in education for more than 24 years, across teaching, leadership, SEND support and careers education. Over the years I have supported learners with a wide range of needs, and I have seen how the right tools and approaches can remove barriers and unlock independence.
Why I do this
My commitment to inclusion became personal as well as professional. My daughter faced challenges in mainstream schooling while I was working in a dyslexia-specialist environment where the right support helped students to thrive. The contrast was impossible to ignore. It highlighted how uneven access, understanding and confidence around AT and inclusive practice can be. This strengthened my drive to make a difference for learners, families and the staff who support them.
How I help
I support schools, educators and organisations to build confidence and capability with inclusive technology. My approach is practical, supportive and rooted in real classroom experience. I focus on helping people use AT and AI in ways that feel purposeful, ethical and accessible so that students can benefit in everyday learning, not just in ideal conditions.
